Async Studio is a video production and photography studio based in Adelaide, South Australia. This policy explains what personal information we collect through asyncstudio.com.au and our work, how we use it, and how you can contact us about it. We aim to handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles.
What we collect
When you send an enquiry through our contact form, we collect your name, email address, phone number and the details you give us about your project. If you contact us by email, phone or WhatsApp, we keep the details you share in that conversation. If you give us your name and email to stay in touch, we keep those too.
When you visit the website, Google Analytics records how the site is used, such as the pages you view, how you arrived and the type of device and browser you use. This information is aggregated and we don’t use it to identify you.
How we use it
We use your details to reply to your enquiry, prepare quotes, plan and deliver shoots, and send invoices. If you asked to stay in touch, we may occasionally contact you about our services, and you can ask us to remove you at any time. We use analytics data to understand which pages are useful and to improve the website. We don’t sell or rent your personal information.
Photos and video from our shoots
People who appear in footage and photos we create for clients may be identifiable. We use this material for the client’s project, and we may show selected images in our portfolio, on this website and on our social media. If you appear in our work and would like an image removed from our portfolio, email us and we’ll take it down.
Cookies and third-party services
This website uses cookies from Google Analytics to measure visits. Some pages include embedded YouTube videos, and YouTube may set its own cookies when you play them. Our chat button opens WhatsApp, which is run by Meta. These services handle data under their own privacy policies. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and the site will still work.
Who we share it with
We share personal information only with services that help us run the business: our website host, our email provider, Google (for analytics) and, if you message us there, WhatsApp. Some of these providers store data outside Australia, including in the United States. We may also disclose information if the law requires it.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry and client records for as long as we need them to deliver our services and meet our tax and accounting obligations, then delete them.
Access and correction
You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to correct or delete it. Email us and we’ll respond within 30 days.
